- Sony Xperia Z2 tablet available online in India for Rs. 49,990

Japanese consumer electronics giant, Sony has official released the flagship slate Xperia Z2 Tablet in India.
The new Xperia Z2 Tablet has been made available at all Sony Centers & Sony Smartphone Lounge and selected mobile outlets for ₹49,990. It is also available at online stores Infibeam and Snapdeal as well.
Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet made its debut way back in February. The marquee slate flaunts a very slim body, measuring just 6.4 mm, thinner than the Samsung's recently released Galaxy Tab S (6.6 mm) and the Apple's premium fifth generation device iPad Air (7.5 mm). It also boasts of IP 55/58 water-and-dust resistant certifications like its predecessor.
The new tablet features 10.1-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200p) screen boasting company's proprietary 'TRILUMINOS' and 'X-Reality for mobile picture engine' technologies, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 series quad-core CPU, Adreno 330, Android v4.4.2 KitKat, 3GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 64GB).
Other stipulated features include 8.1-megapixel with Exmor RS sensor, HDR, 8 X zoom, a 2.2-megapixel front camera (with full HD video recording ability) and a 6,000 mAh high capacity battery. On the connectivity front, it supports 3G network, micro-SIM slot, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac; dual band), micro-USB v2.0, NFC and GLONASS.
Sony's high-end tablet will be competing with high-end tablets - Apple iPad Air, Samsung Galaxy Tab S series slates, NotePro series, Galaxy Note10.1 (2014 edition), Galaxy Note 800 and Galaxy Tab 4 series (8.0 & 10.1).
