Xiaomi, that have some popularity in China, is said to be officially arriving in the Indian market in the upcoming months. The company will be the sixth China based OEM after Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo, Gionee and Oppo to land in Indian Market and to make things official; it has already launched its Indian website.
Xiaomi is said to be in talks with the popular e-commerce website Flipkart and should be launching a couple of new handsets in the coming months via the online retailer. Now there is no confirmation as to what all handsets we can expect, but we do know that Flipkart will have products branded as Xiaomi in the coming 2-3 months. This is again an upright move by Xiaomi as a lot of brands have started relying on Flipkart as it has been offering exceptional service.
The OEM has already sold 17 million handsets in China and includes devices like the Mi 3, Redmi, Mi Wi-Fi and Mi Box. The company also has its home-brewed Android UI called MIUI and a large portfolio of apps which we have seen on a number of Chinese based Android smartphones.
So would you be interested in buying a Xiaomi handset in the future?
